Aged Pencil Box

Hello, welcome back. I have started to build up my collection of pencils which currently are separated into water soluable and not. Using them more and started to prefer some to others, I thought it would be a good idea to start separating them even further and as I had this box it seemed ideal.

I coated  the top in French Roast from Paper Artsy and when dry added my crackle glaze  also from PA and dried it with the heat gun. To finish I added a coat of Vintage Lace. I knew not to put my brush back over the paint but did it anyway in the opposite direction. This pulled the pain, I still like the effect.

I sanded this down once dry and edged it in Treasure Gold Amythyst.
I stamped the flower scene from IndigoBlu Poppy Meadow as well as the  sentiment. The edges I stamped with JOFY mini 34 and coloured with water colour pencils. I added some contrasting colours using prismacolour pencils

It’s really difficult to take a picture of it but I hope you get it?

Thanks for looking xxx

  1. Love the way that you went for contrasting pencil colours. Can't really see the whole box but it does look really fab. Nice sentiment….not got that one! Xx
