Distressed flower holder

Good morning everyone.  I have another share for you this morning from yesterday. I couldn’t really get anything going as I felt really tired, but later in afternoon saw me itching to go and play.

A few weeks ago I was lucky  enough to get onto one of Andy Skinner’s classes at Thats Crafty. It was a lovely day meeting up with peeps I knew, and a great class from Andy.
I decided to make a plaque using some of the techniques I learnt from Andy. You can see how to use most DecoArt products on their YouTube channel.
I’m entering this into the following challenge
Stencel and stamps anything goes.
I started my plaque with a piece of A5 foam board which I stencilled crackle paste onto, then painted with Burnt Umber and Turquoise. I then rubbed it back to expose the stencilling.
I rubbed Patina Antiqueing Cream into the cracks, and  stamped over the flowers with some letters.
I continued to age the other elements before assembling them together

It’s difficult to make out the glass jar which can hold water and few stems of flowers but you can just see the flower which of course is from the Clematis.
Thanks for popping by and see you soon

  1. From one Skinner fan to another – I love this! I particularly love that foam board background with the layers of products and sanding. Thanks so much for joining us at Stamps and Stencils. Julia x

  2. Wow this is stunning and so handy for when that one little flower falls off. Love the textures. Thank you for joining us at Stamps and Stencils.Sharon x
