Happy New Year and a look back with Gratitude

Hello everyone, a very happy New Year to you all. Today I’m sharing the New Challenge over at Country View Crafts which theme is Anything Goes. It a great theme to get the muse working as you aren’t confined; just let your imagination take you on a journey! You could win a £20 voucher too.

My inspiration

I used a mix of Distress Oxide, spray paints, stencils with paste and some rub ons to complete this journal page.
Now I would like to share a few of my favourite makes from last year to say goodbye to what was an eventful year to say the least. So grab a coffee sit back as this promises to be a long one. As many of you know I moved home and job on my own, from the South of the Country to the North in February. It was a tough time without my husband but we got through until he moved up to his new job in September.  Here’s some of my art from that time.

The 1st using a stamp I designed for Craft Stamper Magazine and the second to hang on my wall to brighten up the lounge of our rented house.

Then of course there was the release of my first Stamps for Rubber Dance

We looked at many houses through the months and I fell in love with a few but we were unlucky or they weren’t meant to be, but the art continued. I was struggling with inspiration and motivation at this time. The garage which was to be my wonderful studio, leaked like mad and was dark and dingy. I missed my studio in Essex which had become my little sanctuary, and creating was hard to do, but I persevered.
I watched online workshops and even got to go to some classes,
the girls was inspired by Angela Kennedy from the ‘lets Face it’

This was created in my class with Marta Łapkowska and the one below was inspired by her class and using one of her stencils

This was all mine

Then came my stencils and creativity started to flow. I had given up trying to work in the garage and so took over the dining table and a trolley of materials which change as the mood takes. Here are a few of my fav makes from other blogs I make for.
Paper Artsy

Rubber Dance

Arriving at August and my husband finally joins me towards the end, ready to start work in September. Trips back to Essex to help with the final packing and moving and still working full time I wonder where the time to creates from but I still manage a few.

And then the last couple of months focusing on my painting

Phew hope you managed to stay until the end!
As I want to give a big thank you, to you all for your support last year and hope to continue to see you in this brand New Year.
There so much more being planned for this year and I want to share it all with you.
Take care and with much love and gratitude
