Hi everyone Debs here with my final inspiration post for this months theme for the challenge at Country View Crafts. This month I chose the theme of monochromatic which is a favourite of mine as it a simple technique but so effective.
Remember to be in with a chance to win you must only use one colour. Here’s what I created.
I did get rather carried away once I started and actually made three cards and a small painting, but lets start at the beginning.
This was my first, I used Daniel Smith‘s watercolour paints Neutral Tint and mixed a small puddle with which to work.
My second was created the same way, except where the first was on watercolour paper i had cut to size this one was on an actual card that once folded could be ready to send. However, I felt that adding some hot foil would add more interest.
I started with a frame on both cards and then foiled two different sentiments which I die cut out and added in place. Then added some crystals bling to finish.
The next card I can show you is the outside of a card where a photo was to sit in the middle
And some closes up of the flowers and foiling
I really do hope you have a go at this simple technique in which ever form you take,
I have a little video of my process
Take care
Hugs
