Hello everyone, another month is upon us and the theme for this month challenge over at Country View Crafts chosen for us by the lovely Jane is leaves. How perfect is that for the first month of Autumn, although I’ve stayed with with shades of beautiful green, wanting to hold on the magic of summer. Don’t forget you must use leaves on your make to be entered into the draw.
I got so carried away painting this i forgot to take process shots but here’s a few practice ones i did before completing this one.
I felt these were too dark for what I wanted to achieve so lightened my paint with water to get a more translucent look. First i drew a circle lightly with pencil and positioned my leaves around. Once completely dry I rubbed out the pencil where it showed. It is difficult to remove graphite from under the paint but if you go lightly you can usually hide it.
Lastly I added my sentiment using my trusty foil technique from Spellbinders and the glimmer machine. I love the touch of sparkle it adds.
