Hello everyone, today I have a very simple card using watercolours and my go to glimmer sentiment for my inspiration for the challenge this month over at Country View Crafts. The lovely Corrie, chose the theme of Autumn colours so make sure you follow along or you will not be included in the draw.
I kept it simple this time as I’m working on something a little different for my project later in the month, a little clue is it involves wool, but that’s all I’m saying for now lol.
Ive been so busy these last couple of months as I spent lots of time with my daughter and grandchildren in Wales. On my return I decided to completely revamp my studio and have spent ages going through all my supplies etc deciding what to keep and what to let go. I want a more slim lined studio which is less cluttered but more of that another time.
So my card is an 8×8
Unfortunately I forgot to take process shots, as I got carried away. Today I used Derwent inktense paints which come in a pan form and mixed myself various oranges and yellow with a little subdue green. However, distress inks would work really well for this project and had I been able to get at them is what I would of used. They are packed away with most of my other supplies so I grabbed what I could for this card. I used my Princeton brushes in several sizes and experimented with different leaves.
Then out came the glimmer kit by Spellbinders for the sentiment. I used a happy birthday as I have someone in mind, whose birthday is coming up and thought this would be a great card for them.
Here’s another look
take care and see you soon
hugs
