Hello Everyone, thanks for stopping by. Today I’m sharing a card for Christmas. I had fun with this one so sit back and grab a drink as I walk through the steps.
Okay to start I popped to Procreate where I created my design. I saved it as a png. file as it allowed me to open in Design Space and get it ready to cut.
I decided on what colours foil card I wanted to use for the bells, and bow and then plain card for the holly and berries.
So with all my elements cut i moved on to the background
Using Distress Oxide in Villainous Potion, and Salvaged Patina i mixed the two on the card and let them do there thing.
I dried it with my heat gun and then added some mica spray in antique bronze.
I cut some glitter card to layer my background onto and used a white 7×5 card.
I payed out my bells and holly and stuck it all down. For the sentiment I chose one of Spellbinders Christmas glimmer plates which has a matching die. To finish I added some detail to the leaves and white highlights to the berries. I also added some tiny snowflakes which were the negative waste from another project which were some gift tags with a snowflake cut out. (always keep your negative shapes from die cuts as you can always find a use for them)
Let’s have some some close ups, it quite difficult to photograph because of the shimmer and shine, but lets have a go.
And a final last look
Have a wonderful Christmas
and ill see you soon
hugs
Debs
