Vintage Inspired card

Hi everyone how you all doing in this wonderful weather? Ive got to say i’m loving it, even if my legs (knees) are complaining as they swell and it makes them uncomfortable. Well I have another project for  for the Country View Crafts challenge blog which theme this month is vintage.

I dont have any process shots for you this month as basically I got so carried away I forgot. I’ll talk you through what what I did however. First I chose to do a 6×6 card and then gathered my ephemera. I started with a piece of vintage paper as a base.  I knew I wanted to use this painting I did a while back as my focal point so printed her and cut her to size and then cut her out. I then chose the elements to go around her.

I stuck The ephemera down and then did some light stamping with some background stamps I had hand carved. Added the focal point and added the butterfly and floral element overlapping. I had some sentiments left over from a previous hot foiling session so added a birthday one to finish off. I have someone in mind for this card who just loves the vintage look. To finish it off I mounted my page onto foil card and then attached it to the card.

A simple make which I think turned out quite nice

see you soon

hugs Debs xx

Have a great weekend, I hope your legs don’t swell up too much, it sounds like this one is going to be a scorcher…
