Evening everyone, I hope your Monday went to plan and that you are on track for tomorrow. This evening I’m bringing you a doll inspired by Penny Nuttall who gave us her first on the Paper Artsy blog last night. Go take a look it was great.
I’m afraid there are not many pictures as I got carried away. My tag background was created a while ago you can see how here.
A few weeks ago I asked mum to sew up a few fabric hearts I had cut out which she did. I decided to fill one with lavendar and use it as the trunk of my doll. Who ever I give it to, can remove the heart and have a small fragrant bag they can attach somewhere.
I found a matching piece of fabric and made my skirt, two metal pieces for legs and a doll I had. Well sort of!
I looked through all my stamps but wasn’t happy with the heads so drew one. I coloured her the best I could as I cannot do small anymore as I cannot see the detail. On the ipad it’s easy, just zoom in, but a real page don’t do that lol.
So her face was created and I felt had to have a hat so stamped and coloured it from Lynne Parella plate xxx From Paper Artsy.
So here she is in her full glory hehe!

a great little doll, well drawn face too (I can't draw faces :P )
ohhh cute, love her hat, really finished it off perfectly.
a fantastic tag, the face is brilliant – love the way the heart lavender bag can be removed. Same problem here with glasses – often end up taking them off for close small work! xx
She's fantastic Deb!!! Her face is beautifully drawn & coloured!Alison xxx
Brilliant Deb, what a clever way to put that doll together, love the beautiful face you drew, – gorgeous!!

Brilliant Art doll Debs…has come together beautifully xxx
You did a fab job with the face, debs. Am I seeing a touch of dolly parton in the doll perhaps?!Lucy x
She looks a right bruiser dun't she… Actually am in awe of how you created your doll and tag.Fantastic colours & textures and a beautifully drawn in other areas too. You are a clever girlie:-) xxx
I know what you mean about colouring small details Debs. Since I had my new specs a couple of months ago I'm struggling too but optician insists the script is correct. I'm actually wearing my old ones which are much better for close work. However, good eyesight or not you did a fab job of drawing and colouring your doll's head/face. Lovely background tag too.HugsLesley Xx
She certainly has! What a clever construction – I love her legs!Alison xx
She's really fun, Debs!
She's really funky with attitude. Well done Deborah for creating her face. X
