Post with a difference – Helen Chilton inspired

Morning to you all. It’s a blustery day here but a great day to craft. This post is different for me and not as good as I would like so please be generous if you leave a comment lol. they will get better I promise.

I really liked the little bag charm  that Helen made on the Paper Artsy blog this week, so thought I’d make a similar one to hang in my craft room. I do love having my creations around me when I work and so the size of this is perfect to fill  little corners etc.

I cut my board from grey board by Paper Artsy 3×3 and gave it a coat of snowflake. I put it to one side to dry and started somthing else using spray inks. Needless to say a tiny amount landed on my board and so when I gave it a second coat it mixed and gave my a very pale pinky, mauve colour which I loved.
I stamped my design from a Lynne Perella plate LPC 028 I then coloured it using the fibralo pens by Caran D’ache from Paper Artsy. I’m liking these pens they are so easy to use and blend so easily. When at Stamparama Leanda from PA demonstrated them for us, and you can see Darcy demonstrate them here Once you apply them over a coat of acrylic the colour just moves and blends where you want it to, fab.
I added some colours to the edges topped with some treasure gold in amythest. My dangles are made from bits I had lying around.
Well here it is.

You can see more detail here
Thank you looking
And as always come back soon.

  1. Debs, this looks super! I love the charms hanging from it and the lovely colour palette. What a lovely idea to hang something so pretty in your craftroom! If I had a craft room that's just what I would do! Can't wait till we get my shed! Just writing this while I cook Sunday dinner for the family so forgive any mistakes! xxx
