Evening every one, My Twitter mate Helen, was a guest on the Paper Artsy Blog this month. She decorated a journal cover which was fabulous, take a look at hers on the PA blog. You might also like to check out what else Helen gets up to by visiting her own blog which will be a real treat.
I didn’t have any journals to decorate but do need something for my downstairs loo and thought I would use an 8×8 grey whiteboard from Paper Artsy. I pretty much followed Helen to begin, but chose plum as my colour, and that’s where the detour began. I felt that this would be too dark so gave it another coat of chalk fresco finish acrylic paint.
I then used Amythest
Then the central feature
I used tinned pea and then chartuse I then chalk for highlights. I outlined the feature flowers in black pen and then added some deep purple inktense pencil to areas for shadow. I felt the background flowers were still to dark so added white Caron D’Ache water soluable crayon. I finished the picture with some doodles.
I loved doing this so thank you Helen for great inspiration.
Thanks for the visit
Debsxx
