Mixed Media World Challenge

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to visit today. Sunday can be a very busy day in the week whether catching up with chores or grabbing some crafty time so I appreciate you giving me some of your time. :)

Today I’m sharing my inspiration for the 2nd challenge over at Mixed Media World. My teamie Amanda chose this theme which is
                                                               Use Bright Colours.

What a fabulous choice with spring blossoming around us, or maybe your thoughts are drifting to the long summer days with hot reds and sunshine yellows. Whatever your preference create a mixed media piece of art and enter to be in with chance of a great prize from out lovely sponsor.

                                                               The old Vintage  Shop

I don’t have any steps today but I’ll talk you through them.

I used Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylics and scraped on some colour dried the page and then added some more layers using stencils.  I drew my girl with a stabilo all and then used the paint to add colour to her.

I added some black spats in Archival Ink and some circles in white

Finished off with my sentiment.

To me she looked like she was dancing :)

I hope you do get a chance to play. Take care and I’ll see you.

Big hugs Debsxx

  1. Hi Debs – your art is absolutely incredible. I have just spent some time looking at all your creations and I am blown away by your talent. Absolutely stunning and you make it look so easy and yet I know it takes an artists eyes to create what you create. I am honored to be on the Mixed Media World DT with you and the rest of the amazingly talented DT. And I agree with you – it does look like your lady is dancing.Hugs and smilesLaine Kammeraad

  3. Your artwork is so beautiful Debs and I'm not even sure beautiful is the right word. Amazing is so overused but really – I just went through everything you have done since you posted this bright colors challenge one and I am stunned. All your girls are incredible and you just “draw” them…. wow. And your backgrounds… so awesome. I think Mixed Media World has some incredible DT members. I am excited to follow and learn. Wow. I just love this BRIGHT DANCING GAL. j.
