Show your Face

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve had time to create a face but last night I had a ball. I arrived home with nothing to do except order the takeaway. So I took my self the craft room and had a play. I will link this to Kim Dellows show your face

I quickly sketched her with my Stabilo All in black. I activated the pencil to create shadows. I quite liked her at this stage. She has a defiant look about her which I wanted to retain. I was careful not to overwork her as I didn’t want to lose the harshness.

I added some more pencil and then red Bister around the edge and on her lips and thought that was enough. Here are some close ups.

I really enjoyed playing and hope to get some more time this weekend. You all take care, hugs Debs xxxx

  1. Great shading to create wonderful drama around this face – she's really powerful, and I love that you kept it simple to let her strength and beauty shine through.Alison xx

  2. She is perfect! She reminds me a bit of the actress, Kathy Tyson who was in 'Mona Lisa' with Bob Hoskins. I love how strong, beautiful and defiant she is! xx

  3. Very nice…amazing how the original sketch transforms once the shadows and colour are added!! She goes from skeptical to amused…really fun to see!!Hugs Giggles
