Hello everyone, thanks for joining me for the November challenge chosen for us by Jo, with the theme Tags.
So you might of noticed me missing, and apologies for not letting you know, but I had a knee replacement operation and naively thought id be creating like mad, as I had all this free time. I truly didn’t expect to have no motivation, and even when I was physically able I had no inspiration as my mojo thought she was on holiday. Thankfully she’s back, partly. It still a bit of a struggle, but she’s definitely making her way home.
So my knee, (I will get to my tag in minute , I promise) many of will you know that I suffered with arthritis in both my knees for many years, and my mobility has been severely hampered so on September 12th the replaced my left knee. Thankfully all has gone well, and i’m recovering well, so well in fact that i’m now booked in to get the right knee replaced on December 6th. Im not looking forward to it being so close, but figure if i’m going to be recovering for a good few months with one I might as well with two.
Anyway enough about me let’s get to the challenge. Remember you must follow our rules or your entry will be removed, and not entered into the draw.
So I went for for a vintage tag. As I said earlier, my mojo is on her way home so felt I struggled initially, but as I went on it got easier.

I have a draw and a box full of ephemera from all different places, so I spent some time sorting through and listening to what spoke to me.

I chose several papers and covered my chipboard #8 sized tag using a heavy Gell medium.
I then chose some washi tape, and rice paper stickers. Once this was dry I sprayed it with bronze shimmer ink.

Next I added more ephemera, some lace and then placed my focal point which was the robin. I placed a tiny tag in place but before sticking it down added some cotton. I inked the edge of the robin and then put it in place.

I added some words in french which mean song bird ( according to google)

Lastly I doodled some flowers based on my scratchy flowers collection just for more interest. There we have it
Let’s take a last look

Don’t forget to come back next month when we have a new challenge.
Hugs

The choice of the bird is perfect.
Wow, what a gorgeous vintage tag! The collage background with the robin looks so amazing – love it 😊. Wishing you a speedy recovery, take care! Hugs Jo x
