Hopefully as you are reading this you are all set for the festive celebrations. I love that time when all the planning and buying and making is over and you just have to accept what didn’t get done won’t lol.
Im feeling a little like that as I write, as many of you know I had my 2nd knee replacement on the 6th and so I had to plan ahead so we didn’t leave everything to last minute which would have meant my husband doing most of it. So we got organised and i’m now able to focus on recovery. So over to my second christmas themed make for Country View Crafts.

It was hard to get a good photo of them as we don’t actually have our tree up yet and so displaying them well was hard but hopefully you get the idea.
So to start I designed some snow flakes which I then cut out of iron on vinyl on the Cricut maker 3 and then using my Auto press I adhered the vinyl to the wood slices. I then cut ribbon to enable them to hang on my tree.

Once all the ribbon was added I used a larger festive ribbon to make large bows to sit at the top of each wood slice

I used hot glue to assemble the bow and to attach to the wood slice.

I completed 5 as I thought that would be a nice number to hang on the tree.

You could however, hang them from a curtain pole as a decoration for a window or use them as door hangers or if you are happy for them to get wet you could hang them on a garden fence along with some lights to take the decorations outside.
And of course you could use the wood slices in many different ways, I’ve seem them painted on, written on as well as treated with a water colour treatment to make their surface receptive to watercolour paints which looks really effective.
Well thats my last post this year, so ill take this time to wish you a very merry Christmas, and a very happy new year
hugs Debs xx
